Lympstone Manor, The Pool House

Perhaps Lympstone Manor is somewhere you've been meaning to visit for ages, but somehow never quite got around to. Here's a rather lovely opportunity to put that right, and to enjoy it in good company.

We're rather pleased to be including this exclusive venue in our new Dinners With Friends programme for 2027. With just ten places available, this promises to be a select little gathering!

Once a private Georgian country house, Lympstone Manor has been beautifully transformed into one of the South West's most exclusive country house hotels. Set in 28 acres overlooking the Exe Estuary, complete with its own vineyard, we're suggesting an optional wander around the grounds from 11.30am, weather permitting, before we settle down around the table at 12.30pm. Details for this can be agreed closer to the time if enough people are interested.

We'll be dining in the Pool House Restaurant & Bar, which offers a more relaxed style of dining than the Manor's Michelin-starred restaurant, but with all the attention to good food and local ingredients you'd expect from Michael Caines and his team.

The price is 52 credits per person, which includes your Dinners With Friends seat reservation and a two-course lunch from the fixed-price menu. Current fixed-price menus are 2 courses £36.50, or 3 courses £46.50. If you'd prefer three courses, there would be an additional £10 to pay directly to the restaurant on the day.

Please note: the swimming pool and leisure facilities are reserved exclusively for house members and residential guests, and are not available to our group.

A little word about booking, please. For this particular gathering, we have to pay the restaurant in advance for your meal, which means Dinners With Friends takes on a financial commitment on your behalf. So, before booking, please check your diary carefully and make absolutely sure you're free to join us. Bookings for this event are non-cancellable, non-refundable and non-transferable to another date. You can pass your place on to a friend if necessary - just let us know their details so we can welcome them properly.

We understand that plans sometimes change, but as a small business, we can't absorb the cost of places that have already been paid for. With just ten of us around the table, even one empty chair makes a difference to everyone.
