We're coming to Bath
After two years of full tables across Devon, Dinners With Friends is heading up the road. This autumn we're hosting three dinners in the middle of Bath — one long table each, at a restaurant locals actually love, with a host to break the ice.
September at Corkage, October at The Scallop Shell, November at Noya's Kitchen. Dates are set and seats go on sale shortly — each one is a single table of twelve, so register now and you'll hear the moment they open.
Every Bath dinner runs subject to a minimum table of eight. We confirm each one two weeks before the date — and if a dinner doesn't go ahead, every credit you spent comes straight back in full. No small print, no quibble.

Three dinners, all walkable
Bath is small enough to do this properly. All three restaurants sit within a few minutes' walk of each other and of the centre, so wherever you're coming from, none of them is a trek — and none of them is a stuffy function room either. September is Corkage, an independent wine bar on Chapel Row with small plates and a list worth exploring. October is The Scallop Shell on Monmouth Place, the cheerful seafood room with the best fish and chips for miles. November is Noya's Kitchen, the Vietnamese restaurant that grew out of Noya Pawlyn's sell-out supper clubs.
Three warm, relaxed, genuinely welcoming rooms — chosen because they're the sort of places you'd happily walk into on your own. And if Bath takes to this the way Devon has, it becomes every month.

- Our first three Bath dinners run this autumn: Wednesday 9 September at Corkage (Chapel Row), Wednesday 14 October at The Scallop Shell (Monmouth Place), and Wednesday 11 November at Noya's Kitchen (St James's Parade). Each is a single table of twelve. Seats open shortly — register and you'll be told first.
- How does a Dinners With Friends dinner work?
- You book a seat with credits, turn up at the restaurant, and join one long table of twelve people who all came to meet new people. A host handles the introductions and keeps the evening easy. Food and drink are paid at the restaurant.
- What happens if a Bath dinner doesn't reach its minimum?
- Each dinner runs subject to a minimum table of eight. We confirm or release each dinner two weeks before the date — and if one doesn't go ahead, every credit is returned in full, automatically.
- Can I come to a Bath dinner on my own?
- Yes — most guests do. Everyone at the table booked specifically to meet new people, so nobody is the odd one out. Singles, couples, new in town or been here forever: everyone is welcome.
- Who comes to Dinners With Friends?
- Most of our guests are in their forties, fifties and sixties, with plenty beyond. It's platonic by design — new friends, not networking, and not a dating event.
